Pakistan Army has deployed ground vehicles near Indian Border

According to reports, the Pakistan Army has deployed ground vehicles near Indian Border. What are the characteristics of these inland ground vehicles and what weapons are installed on them? Also, what is the range of these weapons and how far can these remote control vehicles be operated? The answers to all these questions are available in this Article.

The small remote-controlled ground vehicles developed by Pakistan’s National Radio and Telecommunication (NRTC) can be deployed in all types of mountainous and plain areas and there are reports that they have been deployed by the Pakistan Army near India border. According to the information that has come to light so far, there are two different versions of these remote control vehicles. One of them is an automatic grenade launcher built by Dawood Sons. This system can fire 96 grenades in one minute. These grenades are effective against soldiers and armoured vehicles. Its useful range against armoured vehicles is 500 meters and its useful range against anti-personnel soldiers is 1500 meters which means one and a half kilometre. Remember that this system weighs 60 kg including two boxes of 96 rounds.

The other is equipped with MG3 Fly Automatic Machine Gun of Pakistan Ordnance Factories. This machine gun can target the enemy about two kilometres away. Its rate of fire is 1000 to 1150 rounds per minute.

The vehicle could possibly be operated at a safe distance of one kilometre. In addition to day and night vision cameras, it has sensors to detect explosives. These remote control vehicles can be used for both surveillance and assault purposes and because of the remote control, missions can be performed while saving the precious lives of soldiers.

NRTC first introduced remote control vehicles in 2016. However, the vehicle, called Target, was built solely for surveillance and bomb disposal. The various cameras mounted on it give the operator the ability to see at 360 degrees. It can be operated from a distance of 800 to 1000 meters. It is a four-by-four vehicle and its speed is fifteen kilometres per hour. Similarly, a vehicle equipped with a machine gun was introduced in 2018.

According to our analysis, in the near future, Pakistan intends to build a remote-controlled vehicle in the style of Russian UGV9 with the help of this technology and experience. In addition to machine guns, it is also equipped with anti-tank guided missiles. This robotic vehicle can normally be operated at a distance of three kilometres and with the help of line off-site technology at a distance of sixteen kilometres. It has a speed of 35 Kph, while on difficult routes it can move at a speed of 10 Kph. It should be noted that in addition to four anti-tank guided missiles, 30 mm heavy machine guns, 7.62 mm light machine guns and twelve rockets can be installed on it.
