2nd Type 075 Landing Helicopter Dock induction in the Chinese navy

The Chinese Navy will soon formally add another Type 075 landing helicopter dock to its fleet. The first ship of the series was inducted into the Navy on April 23, 2021. Work on the 36,000-tonne displacement LHD began in 2011. It has the capacity to accommodate 28 helicopters. Two HQ-10 and two HPJ-11 on CIWS have been used for the ship’s self-defence. The LHD is said to be about the size of Italy’s Future Landing Helicopter Dock and slightly smaller than the US Navy’s LHAC. China plans to induct eight ships in the series into its navy.
