Thailand Interested in F35

The chief of the Royal Thai Air Force says the service wants to buy eight F-35s for its fleet. For this purpose, a panel will be formed which will handle the issues related to this acquisition. The chief of the Royal Thai Air Force added that the Air Force would pay 85 million for a Gripen aircraft, while an F-35 could be purchased from the United States for 70 million as a result of the bargain. He said that only 8 to 12 F35s would be procured and they would also get the support of Inman Lyle Wingman. These aircraft will be purchased to replace the F-16. Although the unit cost of Gripen is very high, it is a crude idea to consider F-35 below 100 million dollars. Other than the operational cast, I don’t think Thailand Cast Wise is capable of acquiring and maintaining this aircraft.
