Another NATO Country Buys Turkish Drones
After Poland, another NATO country is going to buy Turkish drones. Poland signed an agreement with Turkey for 12 TB-2 drones late last month. Poland has become the first NATO country to buy fighter drones from Turkey. According to reports, Latvia is going to buy Turkish TB 2 drones.
This was stated by the Latvian Defense Minister, who is currently on an official visit to Turkey, on his Twitter handle. During his visit today, the Latvian Defense Minister visited Baykar, a TB-2 drone factory known for its Nagorno-Karabakh battle.
It should be noted that Turkey is currently offering low-cost fighter drones to air forces around the world, including NATO countries.
These armed drones have already demonstrated their capabilities in Syria, Libya and Nagorno-Karabakh.
These drones are powered by smart micro-munitions manufactured by Turkish company Aselsan has made them more useful and cost-effective than American fighter drones.
The TB-2 drone is currently used by the Turkish Armed Forces, Qatar, Ukraine and Libya. Morocco and Poland will be the new operators in the near future.
