First Export Order of Akinci Drone

The general manager of the Turkish company Baykar says that the company has signed the first export contract related to the Akinci drone. The agreement is likely to be reached with Ukraine. Ukraine already uses TB2 drones manufactured by Turkish company Baykar. Qatar, Ukraine and Libya were among the first countries to express interest in the heavily armed Turkish drone. Under the agreement reached with Ukraine, the Akinci drone will be delivered in 2023. Meanwhile, the number of countries acquiring TB-2 drones has increased to 16. It should be noted that Akinci drones can be equipped with cruise missiles as well as air-to-air missiles. In the near future, it will also be equipped with a local active electronically scanned radar.
