Saudi Interior Minister and Army Chief Meet: Discuss bilateral relations
Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif on Monday called on Pakistan’s Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
According to the Pakistan Army Inter-Services Public Relations Department, regional security, the current situation in Afghanistan and bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed during the meeting.
According to ISPR, General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its fraternal and historical relations with Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Interior Minister appreciated Pakistan’s role in Afghanistan, its efforts for border management and its efforts for peace in the region.
Later, according to Pakistan Television, Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdul Aziz bin Saud bin Naif returned home after completing his visit to Pakistan.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed bade farewell to Saudi Interior Minister at Noor Khan Air Base Rawalpindi. Federal Home Secretary Yousuf Naseem Khokhar and Special Assistant to Prime Minister Tahir Ashrafi were also present at the airport.
Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed also presented a commemorative photo album of the visit to his Saudi counterpart. During his visit, the Saudi Interior Minister had separate meetings with President Dr. Arif Ali and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
